The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will now investigate the terrorist attack on the bus of devotees going to Vaishno Mata. NIA reached Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning to assist the Army and local police in the investigation and to assess the ground situation.
Army's search operation to find terrorists
Earlier in Reasi, the Indian Army is conducting a search operation in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has also reached Reasi and drones are also being used in the search operation in the dense forests around the incident site.
Vaishno Devi bus was going with devotees
After the firing at around 6:15 pm on Sunday evening, the 53 seater bus went off the road and fell into a deep gorge. The terrorists opened fire on the bus when it was going from Shiv Khori temple near Terayath village in Poni area to Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Katra.
CCTV footage of the incident also surfaced
So far 10 people have died in this terrorist attack. While 32 people have been injured. Now CCTV footage before this incident has surfaced. In the video, the bus is seen running on the road.
The terrorists wore army uniform
Injured Santosh Kumar told that the terrorists were wearing army uniform. He had his mouth tied. As soon as the bus came around the turn, suddenly bullets started firing. The terrorists had fired 25 to 30 bullets before the bus fell into the ditch.
The bus was late by one and a half hour
Another injured devotee from UP, who was travelling in the bus, said that the terrorists kept firing even after the bus fell. The bus was supposed to leave at 4 pm, but it left at 5:30. Investigation is also being done regarding the delay of the bus.
