Narcotics Control Bureau has taken a big decision to break the drug trap running in the jails of Punjab. NCB said that now the arrested drug smugglers will not be kept in the jails of Punjab. They will be shifted out of Punjab to jails in other states.
Attempt to break network from Punjab jails
NCB says that the drug nexus is being run on a large scale from jails in Punjab. Because many big drug smugglers are lodged in the jails of Punjab and they are supplied to them with the help of drones from Pakistan. Due to which drug smuggling continues despite being in jail.
Drug smuggler Billa Havelia sent to Dibrugarh jail
NCB, in a joint operation with Punjab Police, has today sent drug smuggler Billa Havelia to Dibrugarh jail in Assam. He was arrested from Gurdaspur. It is being told that more than 10 cases of NDPS Act are registered against drug smuggler Billa Havelia. Billa Havelia was in contact with drug smugglers of Pakistan.
