Manoj Sonkar becomes the new Mayor of Chandigarh, BJP defeats the alliance of Congress and AAP

BJP has won the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections and Manoj Sonkar will be the new Mayor of Chandigarh. BJP has defeated the alliance of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party in a direct contest in the mayor elections. In the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, BJP has got 16 votes while Congress and AAP together have got 12 votes. While 8 votes have been cancelled.
