Today is the last day of the Maha Kumbh Mela. A crowd of devotees has been arriving at Sangam since midnight for the last bath on Maha Shivratri. By 4 am, about 25 lakh people have taken a dip. More than 1.30 crore people had taken a bath on Monday. The 45-day long Maha Kumbh will conclude with the Maha Shivratri festival bath.
No entry of vehicles
In view of the last bath in the Maha Kumbh, no entry of vehicles has been made in Prayagraj city since the evening of February 25. Vehicles are not running inside the fair as well. There is a huge crowd on the roads leading to Sangam since night. After bathing at Sangam Ghat, the ghats are being vacated by the devotees, so that there is no crowd there.
To avoid any kind of problem in the Maha Kumbh today, 4 ADG rank officers, 7 IG rank officers and 2 DIG rank officers have been deployed in Maha Kumbh Nagar today on the last bath.
Major baths of Maha Kumbh
1.70 crore people took a dip on Paush Purnima bath on January 13, 3.50 crore on Makar Sankranti on January 14, 7.64 crore on Mauni Amavasya on January 29, 2.57 crore on Basant Panchami on February 3, 2 crore on Magh Purnima on February 12.
Flower shower on devotees
Flower shower is being done on the devotees participating in the last bath of Maha Kumbh at Triveni Sangam of Prayagraj. Maha Kumbh Mela will conclude today.
