The central government on Wednesday approved the Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib ropeway projects. Its total cost will be Rs 4,081.28 crore. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information. Ashwini Vaishnav said that the 12.9 km long Kedarnath ropeway project will cost more than Rs 4,081 crore and the 12.4 km long Hemkund Sahib ropeway project will cost Rs 2,730 crore. Both these projects will be part of the Parvatmala project.
Devotees will reach Kedarnath in just 36 minutes
The travel time from Kedarnath Rope will be reduced from 8-9 hours to 36 minutes. Kedarnath ropeway will be one of the longest ropeways in the world. It will be constructed at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level.

Let us tell you that Hemkund Sahib is located at an altitude of 4,329 meters in Chamoli district. Along with this, it is one of the iconic Sikh sites. It is believed that the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Govind Singh, meditated on the banks of Hemkund Lake. There is also a mythological belief that after being injured in the war, Laxman meditated on the banks of Hemkund Lake. He was cured by this.
