About 25 minutes after this, the engine of the plane malfunctioned. The pilot contacted Air Delhi's Traffic Control System (ATC) and asked for permission for emergency landing of the plane. About 30 minutes later, ATC Delhi allowed emergency landing. The flight landed safely at Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi at around 8:10 pm.
