In a single day, about 15 planes including Indigo, Air India and Akasa have received threats. The series of receiving these threats is still continuing. There was a stir in the aviation sector after the threat of placing bombs in different flights on Saturday. These include 5 flights of Indigo and 5 flights of Akasa Airlines and 5 of Air India. Now there is a stir at Chandigarh airport due to the news of bomb in the flight.
Fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot. This Indigo flight was coming from Hyderabad to Chandigarh. The plane has been separated during landing in Chandigarh. All the passengers have been safely evacuated from the flight. Checking by security agencies is going on at the airport.
Bomb threat in Vistara flight
Earlier, a bomb threat was received in Vistara flight going from Delhi to London. After which it was diverted to Frankfurt and it made an emergency landing here. The airline has also issued a statement in this regard.
The airlines said that after receiving the threat, as per protocol, all the concerned authorities were informed immediately. After which the flight was diverted to Frankfurt. Where the officials inspected the flight, however, nothing suspicious was found in the investigation.
22 flights have received threats
This is the 22nd incident of bomb threats on Indian planes in the last 6 days. On the 14th, three international flights received threats, in which one was Air India and two were Indigo flights. On October 15, 7 flights received bomb threats. These flights also included Air India Express' flight from Delhi to Chicago. It was diverted to Canada and landed at Iqaluit Airport.
