Due to continuous rain in Bengaluru, a holiday has been declared for Anganwadis and schools on Monday (21 October). The DC has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety and health of the students. At the same time, other degrees, master's degree, diploma, engineering and ITI will remain open as usual.
These instructions issued to colleges
The heads and officials of the colleges have been instructed not to use weak and bad buildings. Classes should be run only in safe and good condition buildings. Additional classes can be held on Saturday afternoon or Sunday to make up for the learning loss due to holidays.
Use safe vehicles
Students and their guardians have been asked to ensure that they stay away from water-logging areas and use safe vehicles to go to college.
Heavy rain alert in 11 districts
At the same time, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert in 11 districts of Bengaluru and Karnataka. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in the city for the next two days. The temperature is expected to remain between maximum 26 degrees Celsius and minimum 20 degrees Celsius.
Yellow alert in these districts
Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued for Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Chitradurga, Davanagere and Tumkuru districts.
