Truecaller will work better now on iPhones
Truecaller on iPhone has never been as seamless as it is on Android. Due to privacy and access issues, the app's most popular feature—Caller ID—never worked on the iPhone app. Last year, Truecaller released an update so the app could work better with iPhones, but it also added an extra step that required users to interact with Siri to identify the caller. However, that is about to change now. Truecaller co-founder and CEO Alan Mamedi has confirmed that with the new iOS 18 upgrade, Truecaller will finally work on iPhones the way it should.
Know what CEO of trucaller says
"From the iOS 18 feature release documentation Soon we can expect people to say, 'Truecaller finally works on iPhone'. It's been working just fine over the past 2 years, but this time it will work exactly the way you'd expect Truecaller to, from start to finish," CEO Mamedi wrote in a post on X.
The Truecaller CEO also shared screenshots of the iOS 18 release documentation, which shows that there will now be a live caller ID lookup feature on iPhones. "The new APIs allow developers such as Truecaller to fetch information from their servers and provide live caller ID for incoming calls, while also protecting privacy," the note reads.
