In Haridwar, a couple killed their 5-year-old child by drowning them in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri. Seeing this cruelty to the child, people got enraged and beat the couple severely. However, the police have denied any such thing.
On Wednesday afternoon, a family from Delhi reached Har Ki Pauri with their 5 year old child. Here the family took the child to Brahmakund and drowned him in the Ganges. Not only this, these people kept immersing him in the Ganga again and again. When people nearby saw the child drowning, they tried to stop the couple.
The child had blood cancer
On coming to know about the incident at Har Ki Pauri, a crowd of many people had gathered at the spot. The accused were beaten severely by the mob. It is being discussed that there is a Tantra-related matter behind the drowning of a five-year-old innocent child. The family members are being detained and interrogated. Told that the family members said that the child was suffering from blood cancer and the doctors had also given up hope of his survival. The child was undergoing treatment at AIIMS Delhi.
However, they did not agree and kept drowning the child. Seeing this, there was chaos there and people somehow took the child out. By then, on receiving the information, Kotwali in-charge Bhavna Kainthola and Har Ki Paidi outpost in-charge Sanjeev Chauhan reached the spot with the team. The police immediately took the child to the district hospital but by then the child had died.
Bathing in Ganga will cure the disease
A familiar woman who was performing puja had told him that bathing in the Ganga could cure the child's illness. With this hope this family had reached Haridwar from Delhi. Where he made the children take a dip repeatedly in the Ganga to take bath. According to family members, the child had died on the way, yet there was hope that the child would be cured by taking a bath in the Ganga.
Questioning the taxi driver
According to the information, the child had died on the way. Said whether it was murder or death due to blood cancer will be known only after the post mortem report comes. If any incident like murder comes to light, legal action will be taken. According to the Kotwali in-charge, the taxi driver who brought the family to Haridwar told that he had brought the child here on the pretext of taking a bath in the Ganga.
