Four people have died in a shooting in a high school in Georgia, America. According to the police, the suspect, whose age is said to be 14 years, has been arrested. As soon as the news of the firing was received, the school was closed and police and medical teams immediately reached the spot.
Soon after the incident, the police brought the situation under control.The Barrow County Sheriff's Office issued a statement saying the student who fired the shots was a 14-year-old, but it was not clear whether he was a student at the same school. Police sealed the entire area and Rapid Action Force (RAF) was called in to control the situation.
Georgia Governor confirmed the incident
According to media reports, apart from those killed in the school firing, 30 people have also been injured. One person was transported to hospital via air ambulance. Meanwhile, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) confirmed that four people have died. This incident has shaken the entire area. Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said on social media that state agencies are taking cognisance of the incident and are investigating the matter.
