Farmers of Punjab and Haryana are going to protest again on 20th November. A meeting was held between 18 farmer organizations and the United Kisan Morcha at Kisan Bhawan on Monday, in which demonstrations will be held at the district level in Punjab and Haryana on 20th November for the pending demands. Along with this, the demands will be raised again through the Deputy Commissioner and SDM.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that programs of farmer-labor organizations have been set keeping in mind the priority of solving the issues of farmers of Punjab and Haryana and keeping the unity of the organizations as a priority. Under this, on November 20, demonstrations will be held at the offices of DC and SDM in Punjab and Haryana regarding important demands. Governments are working against the farmer laborers with a spirit of hatred and revenge.
The government's stubble burning and other decisions should be withdrawn
Pandher said that in the meeting, issues like giving concrete solutions on stubble burning, issuing pamphlets and red notices on stubble burning, canceling fines, canceling passports, canceling arms licenses, canceling subsidies, and other government facilities will be discussed. Along with this, many other issues related to the problems of farmers, laborers, and rural areas were also discussed.
There has been a demand to stop land acquisition for roads under the Bharat Mala Project. Farmers who want to give their land with their consent should be given compensation six times the market rate.
The case should be registered against officers for drunken death
Organizations have also demanded complete implementation of prohibition in Punjab and Haryana and also that if someone dies due to a drug overdose, a case should be registered against the DSP, SSP, and MLA of the area.
