The Punjab School Education Department has issued a letter to the Education Officers of all the districts. In this letter, concrete steps have been taken to prevent the burning of paddy stubble and wheat stubble. These instructions have been issued to the authorities to improve air quality and prevent pollution.
The Education Department has written that every employee who cultivates should ensure that stubble and reeds are not burnt in his fields.
Along with this, in violation of the orders of the National Green Tribunal or the Department of Science and Environment, if stubble or crop residue is being burnt, then the employee should bring it to the attention of the concerned authority. At the same time, action will be taken against the staff/teachers who violate these orders.
