Warning of protest on January 20
The doctors' association has warned that if the government does not take timely steps according to the agreement on issues related to security and career progress, then on January 20, all OPD services will be closed and they will sit on protest. A meeting of the Doctors Association will be held on January 12 regarding this. A decision will be taken on it.
Doctors are leaving government hospitals
The association says that due to lack of promotion and closure of old schemes, good doctors are leaving government hospitals and going to private hospitals. Doctors have expressed hope that the Health Minister and Secretary will resolve this issue by taking timely approval from the Finance Department. If no action is taken by January 20, then there will be a mass strike in all government hospitals of Punjab.
