A clash has been seen between the police and farmers in Raike Kalan, Bathinda. The video of which is becoming very viral on social media. It is being told that the farmers had taken the Tehsildar and the procurement inspector hostage due to the delay and problems in paddy procurement. After which when the police reached the spot, the farmers started pelting stones at them. After which the police had to lathicharge.
The administration had refused to buy paddy without investigation

It is being told that the administration had refused to buy the paddy of the farmers without investigation. After which the farmers got angry. After this, 20 to 25 workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union gathered in Raike Kalan village. After this, the angry farmers took the Tehsildar and the procurement inspector hostage. Seeing the matter getting serious, the police had to be called on the spot.
Clash happened at 5:30 in the evening
The police reached the market at around 5:30 in the evening. At first the police tried to convince the farmers. But some angry farmers started pushing and pelting stones. After which lathicharge was done to calm the matter.
Police started action in the case
The police administration says that legal action is being taken in the case. Appropriate steps will be taken against the culprits. At the same time, the farmers say that their crop is not being purchased in the name of moisture testing of paddy, due to which their financial condition is getting affected.
