Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, accused in the Delhi liquor scam case, is lodged in Tihar Jail. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met him there. Even before this, CM Mann had met Kejriwal.
Let us inform you that the Supreme Court had granted interim bail with conditions to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, arrested from March 21, 2024, to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.
Interim bail was granted in June for election campaign
Kejriwal was arrested in August 2022, about one and a half years after the liquor scam was exposed. Manish Sisodia, who was the Deputy Chief Minister in his government, has not been able to get bail despite being in jail for a long time. Kejriwal got bail only till June 1 for election campaign. After which he had to go to jail again on June 2.
According to the information, earlier when Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had reached Delhi's Tihar Jail to meet CM Kejriwal, Arvind Kejriwal was allowed to meet Bhagwant Mann dressed as a criminal. Strict security arrangements were made during the meeting of the two.
While coming out of jail after meeting Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann had talked to the media and said that Arvind Kejriwal is being treated as if he is a heinous criminal. During our meeting, a glass wall was installed in between.
