There is big news regarding the presentation of Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal. According to the news of The Hindu newspaper, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources have expressed the possibility that the Chief Minister of Delhi will not appear before the ED. According to the India Today report, Kejriwal has said that the legal process will be followed in the matter and whatever is done as per the law will be done.
However, no official statement has come from AAP regarding the summons and appearance. Kejriwal will attend a program of the Education Department in Delhi on January 18 at 12:00 noon. Immediately after this, he will leave for Goa with Bhagwant Mann to prepare for the Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann will stay in Goa for three days.
ED has sent four summons to Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi. The first summons was sent on 2 November last year, the second on 21 December and again on 3 January. Now he was called on 18 January. Till now, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and communication in-charge Vijay Nair have been arrested in this case.
After this there were rumors regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal. AAP says that before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP wants to arrest him by making false allegations.
Kejriwal had given a statement in the meeting of his party's National Executive and 12th National Council that for the welfare of the public, he would have to go to jail.
