A tragic bus accident took place in Maharashtra's capital Mumbai on Monday night. A government bus entered the densely populated area of Kurla in Mumbai at high speed. During this, the speeding bus crushed many people. Finally, the bus stopped after hitting a building. But the wall of the building collapsed. Meanwhile, the bus hit 40 vehicles within a radius of 100 meters. So far 6 people have died in this horrific accident, while 35 people are said to be injured, who are being treated in the hospital.

This incident happened at 9:50 pm on Monday. The number of the government bus is MH-01, EM-8228. It was an electric bus of BEST which was going from Kurla station to Andheri. The bus kept hitting people and other vehicles for 100 meters in the crowded area. Due to this, many people got injured and fell on the road.
More than 25 people injured
After getting information about the incident, police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital. According to the police, four people have died in this accident. At the same time, more than 25 people are injured. The injured were sent to the nearby Kurla Bhabha Hospital in private vehicles as well as 108 ambulances.
Was the driver drunk or did the brakes fail!
Giving information, DCP Zone 5 Ganesh Gawade said that the bus driver has been taken into custody. The bus has been removed from the spot. The process of registering a case in this matter is going on. The bus driver is being questioned. However, DCP Gawade did not say anything about the driver being drunk. He said that the reason for the incident is not clear yet. Investigation is going on.
The driver was driving the bus for the first time on the day of the accident
Along with this, it is being told that the accused driver Sanjay More was driving the bus for the first time on Monday. He had joined BEST as a contract driver on December 1 itself. It is believed that he pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. This is why this accident happened.
