New rules will come into force only after the amendment is issued
The central government has changed the passport rules, and this change has been issued through an official note this week. Officials have informed that these new rules will come into force only when published in the gazette.
According to these new rules, for proof of date of birth of people born on or after October 1, 2023, only birth certificates will be valid. This birth certificate should be issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Municipal Corporation.
