The new Chief Minister of Delhi has been announced. Education Minister Atishi Marlena will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal proposed her name in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Legislature Party meeting on Tuesday. Atishi's name will be announced shortly.
Let us tell you that a meeting of the Legislature Party was called at the CM House at 11:30 am. In which the name of the new CM has been decided.
Session called for 2 days
According to the information, a 2-day assembly session has been called on 26 and 27 September. AAP will announce the new Chief Minister at 12 noon. At 4:30 pm, Kejriwal will meet Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Saxena and submit his resignation. During the meeting with LG, Kejriwal will also submit the name of the new Chief Minister of Delhi.
Swearing-in of CM and Cabinet this week
Swearing-in of the new CM and Cabinet will also take place this week. After getting bail from the Supreme Court in the liquor policy case on September 13, Kejriwal had announced to leave the post of Chief Minister on September 15.
What did Kejriwal say
He had said that now the public should decide whether I am honest or dishonest. If the public washes away the stain and wins the assembly elections, I will sit on the chair again.
No power even while being CM
The Supreme Court put a condition that he will not go to the CM office nor sign any file. That means he has no power even after coming out of jail and being the Chief Minister.
