Higher officials of Firozpur division have taken action against the loco pilot and guard of Ludhiana in the matter of goods train stopping at Suchi Pind and have asked them the reason in writing. When both of them did not give any clear answer to this, they were summoned to Firozpur division. Where he was interrogated.
The goods train had gone 39 kilometres away
The goods train was to reach Indian Oil at Suchi Pind at 5.15 am on Saturday. It stood at Alawalpur for 1 hour and then crossed Tanda and Dasuha railway stations. When Mukerian crossed, the SS of Tanda informed the loco pilot about this. After which the train returned to Jalandhar Suchi Pind station at 10.40 minutes.
Memo was taken from Ludhiana
Sources said that Loco Pilot Vijay Pratap and Train Manager Bhavani Singh of Ludhiana Headquarters had taken the charge memo. After which when the goods train reached Jalandhar, both of them did not pay attention to the memo. Due to which the train was sent towards Jammu.
Information has also been received that when the train left Ambala station, it was given the signal of Jammu railway station only from the computer. But Jalandhar IOSJ was written in the memo. Whose code the loco pilot and guard could not read correctly nor did they ask anyone. Due to which this has been a big negligence.
Goods train had reached Gandhidham instead of Jalandhar
Let us tell you that on March 23, a goods train carrying Indian Oil from Gandhidham to Jalandhar Suchi Pind carrying 47 aircraft and 3 diesel tankers had gone towards Mukerian. After which there was panic in the entire railway.
