A massive fire broke out in the transformer store area in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district on Monday. The fire was so severe that 200 transformers were burnt. Due to which the electricity department has suffered a loss of about Rs 30 lakh. More than 5 fire brigade vehicles are engaged in extinguishing the fire at the spot.
Flames and smoke visible from a distance
The fire has been brought under control to a great extent, but smoke is still visible from a distance. According to the information, a fire broke out in the transformer store area of the electricity department behind Gajanand Puram Colony on Kotra Road at around 10 am on Monday. Within a short time, the fire took a terrible form. Smoke was visible from a distance. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade vehicle reached the spot and the work of extinguishing the fire was started.
