There was an explosion in the Badlapur MIDC chemical factory in Thane district of Maharashtra followed by a massive fire. One employee died in this accident, while five people got badly burnt. Fire engines are present on the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire.
Regarding this series of explosions that took place on Thursday morning, officials said that the injured workers have been admitted to the local hospital. Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation, said that the incident occurred at around 4.30 pm in an industrial area.
The dead body has not been identified yet
According to the fire tender team, the blast was so strong that it's echo was heard for a kilometer. The body of the factory employee who lost his life in the accident has not been identified yet. According to the factory owner, rescue team, and fire department, the cause of the blast has not been confirmed yet.
