He is being trolled a lot after seeing the ad, because last year Akshay had apologized for advertising Pan Masala and said that he would never promote tobacco.
The pan masala ad shown during the match went viral on social media. In the ad, Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan are seen promoting Pan Masala with Akshay. As soon as the video of this ad went viral, Akshay is being heavily criticized on social media. Commenting on the video, a user wrote, 'Akshay Kumar had said that he will never add pan masala because his fans were unhappy.
Akshay apologized year ago
When Akshay Kumar was seen for the first time in the advertisement of Pan Masala, his fans expressed their displeasure over it. On the displeasure of the fans, he shared the post and wrote, 'Forgive me. I want to apologize to my fans and well-wishers. Your reactions over the past few days have deeply impacted me. Akshay immediately terminated his contract
After being embroiled in controversies, Akshay Kumar immediately terminated his contract with Pan Masala Company. He had also announced that he would donate the amount earned from this ad. However, he also clarified that as per the brand contract, he will continue to air the old ad.
