A tragic accident took place in Batala late at night. Two cars collided with a tractor loaded with straw on Kahnawan Road. The accident was so severe that both the vehicles overturned and were badly damaged. 3 people died in the accident, while 6 people were seriously injured.
NRI brothers-in-law died
DSP Harikrishna said that a car collided with a trolley near Sekhwaan village. After that it collided with another car. Due to which the accident happened. 3 people died on the spot in the accident. While the injured have been admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. 2 NRI brothers-in-law died in the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Surjeet Singh, Rajesh who are brothers-in-law. While the third person has been identified as Karan Kumar. The injured have been identified as Sawan Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Savran Lal.
Surjit Singh had returned to India after 17 years
The police further said that the deceased Surjit Singh had returned to India after 17 years and was to return on March 6. The victim families have been informed about the incident and the matter is being investigated.
