The Punjab government has taken an important decision for all the schools in the state. The Punjab government has decided to organize winter camps for children in all 233 PM Shri schools in the state. Instructions have also been given to all the District Education Officers in this regard.
Children will benefit
The purpose of this winter camp is to keep children active through various recreational activities during the winter holidays. These camps will promote creativity, interest in different subjects, overall development and experiential education in children. The government has also given a letter in this regard. According to the letter, the Punjab government will also provide a budget of Rs 100 for each child, which will be involved in organizing activities keeping in mind their health needs and cold weather.
Instructions given to all schools
All schools have also been instructed to form a committee to conduct the winter camp. This committee will include 3 senior teachers and the chairman of the school management committee. The head of the school will plan the camp with the help of this committee and will run all the activities in a proper manner. Schools have also been instructed to send the report of the activities done in the winter camp along with photographs to the headquarters by March 31. Apart from this, children will also be given worksheets for educational development.
Instructions should be strictly implemented
During the camp, a one-day exhibition will also be held for the projects made by the students. Teams from the headquarters, District Education Officer, B.N.O and ASG group members will participate in this exhibition. Along with this, parents of the children and members of the S.M.C. can also be called. Schools have also been instructed to keep the report and photographs of this exhibition. Emphasis has also been laid on strictly implementing all these instructions.
