Corona virus still continues to wreak havoc in many states of the country. The number of patients is not showing signs of stopping. Since the arrival of the new sub-variant of Covid, JN.1, it's cases are being reported in different states of the country. The Health Ministry on Friday said that 609 new cases of Covid have been recorded in India, while the number of active cases of infection has decreased to 3,368. Also, three people have died due to infection in 24 hours, of which two cases are from Kerala and one from Karnataka.
Number of active patients reached
After 609 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the number of active Corona patients has reached 3368. However, there has been a slight decline in the number of active patients for the last few days. According to the data released by the Health Department, a total of 923 patients of the new sub-variant of Covid JN.1 have been confirmed in the country so far. These cases have been seen in a total of 15 states of the country. The number of patients has increased rapidly in states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Delhi and Kerala.
Highest number of deaths occurred during Delta wave
Let us tell you that till now 3 waves of Covid have been seen in the country. In this, the daily incidence of cases and deaths was at the level during the Delta Wave in April-June 2021. During the third wave, 4 lakh 14 thousand 188 new cases and 3 thousand 915 deaths were recorded in May. With this, since the beginning of Corona, more than 4.5 crore people have been infected across the country. More than 5.3 lakh people have died.
