Due to dense fog, 3 accidents took place within a distance of just 100 yards on the National Highway in Khanna, Ludhiana. Due to which about 20 vehicles collided. But there were no casualties in these accidents, although the vehicles were shattered. Due to the accidents, the National Highway near Rajgarh had to be closed and the traffic had to be diverted from the service lane. The accident happened on Amritsar-Delhi highway.
The first accident happened with a canter on the bridge near Rajgarh. Where 4 to 5 vehicles collided with each other. After which the police started removing the vehicles, but then 4 to 5 more vehicles collided at a short distance. Meanwhile, another accident took place at some distance and some vehicles collided with each other.
Meanwhile, the police has appealed to the people to drive carefully in fog. Let us tell you that this time in the beginning of winter, more than 100 vehicles had collided with each other in a 3 kilometer area in Khanna.
Fog alert in 14 districts of Punjab
Dense fog continues to wreak havoc in Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be bad in 14 districts of Punjab. Regarding this, orange alert has been issued in Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Firozpur, Faridkot, Moga, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala and Mansa.
