After the meeting between farmers and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at Punjab Bhawan in Chandigarh, it is said that the farmers have promised to open the road. CM Mann said that the announcement would be made after talks for a day or two. He said that talks were held with sugarcane growers in a very good atmosphere. The government will also talk to the millers.
CM said- This is not anyone's victory or defeat. The farmers are our own. It is not right to stage a dharna on the streets. There should be no dharna by stopping ambulances and harassing people. The government is with the farmers. He called the farmers to drink tea – even without the dharna.
According to sources, in the meeting, CM Bhagwant Mann promised the farmers that Punjab would get the highest rate of sugarcane in the country. Within a few days, farmers will get the highest rate for sugarcane.
Farmers will have to change their methods
According to sources, in the meeting with the farmers, CM Bhagwant Mann said that - We have reduced the dues of 14 sugar mills to zero. Whereas the money was to be given to the sugarcane mill owners. We took action in the Phagwara Mill case. But despite this, the farmers staged a strike.
Farmers will have to change their methods. It is wrong to harass people. I myself am a farmer's son and always fight for the rights of farmers. We have also resolved the Patwari issue.
Will raise the issue with the central government
He said that all the issues of the farmers are in his attention. He will strongly raise all the issues of the farmers before the Central Government. But for this, the farmers will have to create a happy environment. All issues can be resolved only by working together.
