Saudi Arabia has made some changes in its visa rules before Hajj. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has banned visas of 14 countries of the world along with India-Pakistan. This change has been made temporarily to stop those who participate in Hajj without registration. Officials said that those who have Umrah visa should reach Saudi Arabia by 13 April. This year's Hajj pilgrimage is going to run from 4 June to 9 June.
Multiple entry visa stopped
According to the government's decision, this ban will be implemented on family, business and Umrah visas. Also, now these countries will not get multiple entry visa, it has been temporarily stopped. Now the government is going to issue only single entry visa. However, let us tell you that this ban will be imposed only till mid-June i.e. till the completion of Hajj. Visa services may become normal again after June.
Which are those 14 countries
The 14 countries whose visa rules have been changed by Saudi Arabia include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Nigeria, Iraq, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia and Yemen. Most people from these countries go to Saudi Arabia for Haj pilgrimage. Saudi officials have asked the passengers to follow the new rules. If a person violates these orders, his entry into Saudi Arabia will be banned for the next five years.
Temporary change in rules
Actually, let us tell you that last year there was a stampede during the Haj pilgrimage. In which more than 1000 people died. This led to a lot of condemnation of the Saudi government at the global level. It is clear from the government's decision this time that the rules have been changed temporarily to maintain order during the Haj pilgrimage.
