Due to the farmers camping at Shambhu railway station for the last one and a quarter month, the Railways has suffered a loss of crores of rupees so far. The problems of the passengers are also not showing signs of decreasing. Due to the farmers' movement, Railways has diverted the routes of 96 trains and 46 trains have been completely cancelled. Due to route diversion and cancellation of these trains, passengers are facing a lot of trouble.
At the same time, many trains like Shatabdi and Vande Bharat Express are arriving late than scheduled. Which is also affecting the revenue of Railways. Railways has so far given refund of more than Rs 1.50 crore to the passengers.
Government is not even holding meetings with farmers
Members of farmer groups say that until their demands are not accepted. Till then the protest will continue. Farmers are sitting at Shambhu border and Shambhu railway station. If the government wanted, it could have found some solution and ended the protest. But no government minister is holding the meeting. The meeting that took place earlier. No result was found in it. Due to which the farmers are very upset. People are saying that farmers are facing problems. But we are saying that the problem has been created by the Central Government itself and not by the farmers. The path of the farmers was blocked only to humiliate them in the eyes of the people and the farmers who were arrested without any reason are not being released. The amount of trouble the general public is facing. The central government is responsible for it.
Increasing crowd on trains and stations
The passengers going to and from UP-Bihar had booked their seats in the cancelled trains. Now they have to wait for a long time. Because the trains whose routes are being run are diverted. There is already a lot of crowd in those trains and even the general coaches are in bad condition.More than 300 passengers are sitting in one compartment and are forced to stand and travel separately. The maximum crowd is at Ludhiana, Ambala and Chandigarh railway stations. Operation of summer special trains is also not yielding any significant benefit.
