Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari reached Hoshiarpur on Wednesday. Where Gadkari inaugurated 29 projects worth Rs 4 thousand crores. On this occasion, Nitin Gadkari said that if we want to develop the state and the country, we will have to make good infrastructure. He also announced that a greenfield highway will be built from Ludhiana to Bathinda. It will be 75 km long and will cost Rs 2 thousand crores.
4 lane highway work will be completed soon
After this, the distance from Ludhiana to Bathinda will be covered in about 45 minutes. It will be built by December 2025. Which will also have connectivity to Halwara Airport. He also said that the work of 4 lane highway from Amritsar Airport to Ramdas will be completed in 2024. This will make the road to Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor easier. Whereas the work of 13 kilometer road till Samrala Chowk in Ludhiana will be completed by January 2024.
CM, ministers and MPs did not attend Gadkari's program
In this program of Gadkari, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Jalandhar Lok Sabha MP Sushil Rinku and ministers Brahmashankar Jimpa, Harjot Bains, Congress MPs Manish Tiwari, Jasbir Gill, Sukhbir Badal, Muhammad Sadiq, MPs Harbhajan Singh, Ravneet Bittu, Ashok Mittal and Saint did not reach Seechewal.
Ludhiana projects also inaugurated
Gadkari also virtually inaugurated the four-lane Ladowal Bypass connecting GT Road and National Highway 5 in Ludhiana. Along with this, the construction of Ladowal Bypass will connect Ludhiana-Firozpur Highway to Delhi-Jalandhar Highway (NH 44). During this, the foundation stone of Phagwara and Hoshiarpur bypass along with the construction of Phagwara Hoshiarpur four lane was also laid.
