Three Indians have died in a road accident in Clarington, Canada. The accident occurred while Canadian police were chasing a suspected criminal. The dead include a three-month-old baby and his grandparents. The grandparents had reached Canada from India just two days ago.
Many vehicles collided
An Indian man who survived a fatal accident caused by a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of a highway in Canada has recalled the death of his parents and son, saying his family is reeling from shock. His parents and only son died in this accident. The only two survivors of the accident are Gokulnath Manivannan (33) and his wife Ashvita Jawahar (27).The accident occurred last Monday when police began pursuing a suspect in connection with an alleged robbery at a liquor store in Bowmanville, Ontario, in the Regional Municipality of Clarington. During this time many vehicles collided with each other.
Suspect drove the wrong way
Police pursued the suspect as he drove the wrong way on Highway 401 in Whitby, about 50 kilometers east of Toronto. "There are no words to describe the pain and emptiness in our hearts that we feel at the loss of our children," Manivannan was quoted as saying in a statement provided by Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) on Sunday. Aditya can never hold Vivaan who left so many precious memories for us in such a short span of time.
Parents had come from India only two days ago
“His small toys and clothes are scattered here and there in our house,” he was quoted as saying in the statement. We don't even have the courage to enter our house which is filled with memories of our only son.'' Manivannan's parents, who had reached Canada from Chennai, India, two days earlier, died in the accident.
