These trains including Shatabdi-Shaan-e-Punjab will not come to Jalandhar, list released
Repair work is going on at Ladowal near Ludhiana by the railways. Due to repair work, many trains will remain affected till January 9. These include Pathankot Delhi 22340-22429, Shan-e-Punjab 12497-1249, Amritsar-Jaynagar 04652-04651, Amritsar-Delhi 14679-14680, Jalandhar-Delhi 14682-14681, Amritsar-Haridwar 12053-12054, Chandigarh-Amritsar including Gorakhpur 12411-12412, 54 trains coming from Barmer, Chandigarh, Lohia to New Delhi, Agra to Hoshiarpur will remain cancelled.
Trains will not come to Jalandhar
12029-12030 Swarn Shatabdi, 12031-12032 Amritsar will not come to Jalandhar till January 8. These trains will return from Ludhiana itself, due to which passengers will have to travel further with other options. Similarly, the operation of 22551-22552 Darbhanga-Jalandhar, 15531-15532 will also be affected till January 5. The routes of these trains have been diverted by the department.
Get information before leaving home
Apart from this, 19612, 14719-14720, 13307, 13308 will also be sent through different routes. More than 37 trains will also be operated late. Due to the inconvenience caused to the passengers, senior railway officials have also said that changes will also be made by the railway regarding the operation and running of trains. The department has also said that passengers traveling should leave home only after taking information related to the train. He said that whatever development work will be done, it will benefit the passengers only. The railway is working keeping in mind the service of the public.
Passengers have to wait
Even today the timings of trains have been affected. Passengers of 12715 Sachkhand Express going from Nanded Sahib to Amritsar will have to wait for a long time. Apart from this, the train which was to arrive at 8:15 am on January 1 reached the city station at 8:45 am on January 2 with a delay of 12 hours. Similarly, 18237 Chattisgarh Express coming to Amritsar reached Cantt station at 8:00 am after a delay of 3:30 hours. 11057 Amritsar Express reached Cantt station after 5:00 pm, being 3 hours late from its scheduled time of 2:00 pm.
Malwa 12919 going to Vaishno Devi reached Cantt station at around 1:30 pm, being 3 hours late from its scheduled time of 10:30 pm. 11077 Jhelum Express going to Jammu Tawi is 3:45 hours late from its scheduled time in Jalandhar. 14035 coming from Delhi reached Cantt at 8:30 pm with a delay of 2:30 hours. Jammu Tawi Express 19223 coming from Gandhinagar reached Jalandhar 40 minutes behind its scheduled time, while 183039 coming from Sambalpur reached Cantt station with a delay of almost an hour.
