A heart-wrenching incident has been witnessed in Jalandhar. The havoc of a speeding car was witnessed in Janta Colony near Suransi. The car driver tried to crush the pedestrians walking on the roadside and fled from the spot.
One person was injured in this incident. The injured person has been identified as Bava. When people shouted to catch the car driver, the car driver fled from the spot. People allege that the car driver was a police employee.
There was an argument with the car driver
Bava says that he was roaming with his friends near Janta Colony Gurudwara. During this time, a speeding car started hitting them, so he somehow saved his life by sticking to the wall, after which they had an argument when he asked the driver to drive the car properly. Then the car driver tried to run over him in anger. Bava suffered a lot of injuries in the incident, but his friends Nitin and Deep survived.
Police employee was in the car-victim youth
The incident has also been captured in the CCTV camera installed nearby. The victim told that the car driver is police employee ASI Paramjit Singh Pamma who lives in the area and he was very drunk while driving. He alleged that despite complaining several times in police station-1, the police did not reach the spot.
The victim's family staged a sit-in outside the house of accused Pamma till late night. On the other hand, in this regard, the in-charge of police station-1 said that investigation is being done. If Paramjit Singh has committed the incident, then action will be taken against him as well. On the other hand, the accused police employee told that he honked the horn several times but he did not move aside and started arguing. Pamma, on the other hand, denied driving the car. In the CCTV footage, the car driver is seen hitting him.
