The government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel. The government has released new prices on February 13, according to which petrol has become cheaper by 8 paise and diesel by 20 paise. However, these prices have come down in Bihar. After which the price of petrol has become Rs 106.85 and the price of diesel has become Rs 93.60.
The retail prices of petrol and diesel in the country are affected by factors such as excise duty, dealer commission, entry tax and VAT. Each state government fixes VAT according to itself, due to which the prices of petrol and diesel are different in different states.

Dealer commission: Rs. 16.50
