The date of assembly by-elections in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala has been changed. The Election Commission said that voting in these three states will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13. The results will come on November 23.
Candidates will be able to campaign till November 18
According to the Election Commission, due to different festivals, by-elections in assembly constituencies in Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh have been rescheduled from November 13 to 20. Let us tell you that now the candidates will be able to campaign till November 18.
Voting is to be held on a total of 14 seats
Voting will now be held on November 20 on 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Punjab and 1 in Kerala. The change in dates has been made on the demand of major political parties of these states.
On the request of Congress, BJP, BSP, RLD and other national and state level parties and to rule out any possibility of low voter turnout, the Election Commission has rescheduled the by-elections in assembly constituencies in three states Kerala, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh from November 13 to November 20.

- Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal, Barnala
These 9 seats of Uttar Pradesh included
- Karhal, Sisamau, Katehri, Kundarki, Meerapur, Ghaziabad, Phulpur, Khair, Majhawan.
One seat of Kerala included
- Palakkad
