In Punjab, a bus carrying farmers going to Mahapanchayat in Bathinda crashed this morning. Due to fog, the bus collided with the divider. According to the information received, the bus of farmers was going to Tohana Mahapanchayat. There were about 22 farmers in this bus. 7 farmers were injured in the accident. The injured farmers have been admitted to the hospital. The good thing is that there was no loss of life during the accident.
The farmers were coming to Khanauri Mahapanchayat from Jagjit Singh Dallewal's village by bus. But this accident happened near Barnala on the way. Many farmers have been injured in this accident. A Mahapanchayat of agitating farmers will be held today on the Khanauri border of Haryana-Punjab.
The havoc of cold is increasing continuously in Punjab. No alert was issued by the Meteorological Department regarding fog and cold wave in Punjab-Chandigarh. But fog has been looming over many districts of Punjab since Friday evening. After which the visibility in Amritsar and Pathankot reached zero from midnight. An alert has been issued for dense fog and storm in 12 districts of Punjab.
Fog has disrupted flight traffic at Amritsar airport. Many flights have been cancelled. The flight coming from Bangkok could not land in Amritsar and was diverted to Lucknow. A Malaysia Airlines plane was sent to Delhi.
So far 4 people have died due to cold
On the other hand, cold has taken a terrible form in Jalandhar. Due to which not only animals and birds but also humans are facing problems. Yesterday a person died due to severe cold in Jalandhar. But the deceased has not been identified yet. Let us tell you that before this 3 people including a prisoner had died. The body of one of the deceased, a 50-year-old man, has been recovered from Khanda Chowk near Gurdwara Dukhnivaran Sahib. The second death has occurred in village Dhakdabba under police station Pasiana. An undertrial prisoner of Patiala jail also died. He was admitted to Rajindra Hospital since December 31 after falling ill due to cold.
