The high power committee formed by the Supreme Court has invited farmers to a meeting on January 3. The committee has called all the farmers' organizations in this meeting. The meeting has been scheduled at 11 am in the PWD Rest House in Panchkula. Where the committee will discuss the issues of the farmers in detail and formulate a strategy.
Meetings have been held before this too
Even before this, the committee has held meetings with farmers and administration officials. But the senior leaders of the United Kisan Morcha non-political did not appear before this committee. Also, they wrote a letter and sent it to the committee.
The committee is headed by a former judge
This committee has been constituted by the Supreme Court under the leadership of former judge Nawab Singh. On behalf of the committee, the Supreme Court had submitted an interim report to the Supreme Court in December. In which he had said that the agitating farmers are not coming for talks. The farmers were also asked for a date and time as per their convenience. But there was no response from them. However, the Supreme Court had appreciated the efforts of the High Power Committee.
