Stone pelting happened during the trial of Vande Bharat train in Chhattisgarh. Here, stones were pelted on Vande Bharat train at Bagbahara railway station in which the glasses of three coaches of the train C2-10, C4-1, C9-78 were broken. When Vande Bharat went to Visakhapatnam via Mahasamund, Bagbahara, then while returning from there, some people threw stones on the train at Bagbahara station at around 9 pm.
Case registered under Railway Act
On receiving information about stone pelting, GRP-RPF reached the spot. Police has taken 5 people present on the spot into custody. According to information, all the five accused are residents of Bagbahara. RPF police will register a case under Railway Act 1989 and present the accused in the Railway Court today itself.
RPF officer said that during interrogation it was found that the brother of the accused named Shivkumar Baghel is a councilor. Action is being taken in this under section 153 of Railway Act. Glass of three coaches have been broken in stone pelting.
