A major accident occurred in Jehanabad district of Bihar today i.e. on the fourth Monday of Sawan due to a stampede during the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. Seven devotees have died in the accident. The dead include 3 women. Whereas 35 devotees have been injured in this accident.
The death toll may increase further - police
The number of deaths in the accident may still increase further. In the month of Sawan, a large number of devotees come to the temple of Baba Siddheshwar Nath to perform Jalabhishek. The stampede happened at night. Giving information about the accident, the police said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital and are being treated. Police are investigating further.
5 women among 7 dead
Of the 7 people killed in the accident, 5 were women. Among the deceased are Poonam Devi, resident of Mor Tekri, Nisha Kumari of Ladaua village of Makhdumpur police station area, Sushila Devi, Nisha Devi of Erki village of Nagar police station area. Two men include Raju Kumar and Pyare Paswan, while one woman has not been identified, the police is trying to identify her.
