Ahmadiyya Muslims not being considered Muslims, even being prohibited from performing Hajj is not a new thing. But this time they are again in the news because Pakistan has issued a notice to a website representing this community and asked it to shut it down immediately.
Pakistan's argument is that Ahmadis cannot directly or indirectly call themselves Muslims nor are they Muslims, so they have no right to run their own 'Islamic' website. This is a kind of fraud and an attack on the sentiments of the followers of Islam.
Why this distance from Ahmadiyya Muslims?
It is also important to understand that this distance from Ahmadiya Muslims is not limited only to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, but in almost all the countries of the world there is no relationship between Ahmadiya Muslims and the rest of the Muslims.
Pakistan is a little more aggressive towards them and one reason for its aggression is that their numbers are quite high there and secondly it wants to send a message to its people that they are not accepted from our side. Ahmadiya Muslims have been officially rejected from Islam there.
Who are Ahmadiyya Muslims?
In Islam, Muslims have a clear belief that Muhammad Sahib was the last prophet of Allah. There has been no one after him and there can be none. The foundation of Islam rests on this belief. The Kalma of acceptance of Islam is also the same - 'La ilaha illallah, Muhammad arsool Allah', which means there is no god except Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, but Ahmadiya Muslims also give Mirza Ghulam Ahmad the status of a prophet. This is where the conflict begins.
The Ulema of non Ahmadiyya Muslims say that if someone accepts the prophethood of someone else after Prophet Muhammad, then he is rejecting the Kalma itself, by reciting which one accepts Islam. Since Ahmadiya Muslims do not consider Prophet Muhammad to be the last prophet, for this reason the Saudi government has also banned their Haj pilgrimage.
If any Ahmadiyya Muslim hides his religious beliefs and goes for Hajj secretly and is identified there, he is arrested. However, apart from believing Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as a prophet, Ahmadiyya Muslims follow the Quran and Namaaz in the same way as other Muslims do.
Why does Pakistan consider it a threat?
In Pakistan, incidents of clashes with Ahmadiyya Muslims are increasing continuously, in which deaths are also occurring continuously. Pakistan believes that Ahmadiyya Muslims are 'misleading' the followers of Islam. And if 'un-Islamic acts' are not curbed in an Islamic country, then it will have an adverse effect on Islam.
