What is the claim of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on Hanuman
Karnataka claims that Hanuman was born on Anjanadri mountain in Kishkindha. This place is said to be in Anegundi in Koppal district. On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh has also been claiming Hanuman's birthplace. According to Andhra's claim, Hanuman's birthplace is on one of the 7 hills of Tirupati. Whose claim is true, Tirupati panel will submit the report
Now the question arises that where was Hanuman born - Gokarna of Koppal, Gokarna of Uttara Kannada or Anjanadri hill of Tirupati? To resolve this dispute, a panel of experts of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has been formed. This panel includes Vedic experts, archeological experts as well as ISRO scientists. This panel of experts will submit its report on 21 April.
Is Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's claim strong?
The TTD i.e. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Trust considers its claim on Tirupati's Anjanadri hill to be strong. TTD Trust Board's Executive Officer KS Jawahar Reddy says, 'We have mythological and archaeological evidence. On the basis of these, we can prove that Hanuman was born on Tirupati's Anjanadri hill.'
Karnataka is also making a claim based on Ramayana
Karnataka has started working on a project to support its claim on Anjanadri of Kishkindha. There is a reference to Kishkindha near Hampi in Ramayana. According to Ramayana, this is the place where Lord Rama and Lakshmana met Hanuman for the first time. Minister BC Patil, who hails from Koppal district, says, 'Now we will develop this place as a pilgrimage site in the name of Hanuman Janmasthala.'
