India and Pakistan will once again face each other in the Champions Trophy. This match will be held on 23 February at Dubai International Stadium in UAE. According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates has been chosen as a neutral venue for India's matches in the Champions Trophy 2025.
The first match of the trophy will be played on 19 February between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The final will be played on 9 March in Lahore. Team India's first match will be against Bangladesh on 20 February and if India qualifies for the knockouts, the semi-finals and final will also be played in Dubai. India's last match is on 2 March and a reserve day has been kept for both the semi-finals (4 and 5 March) and the final.
There will be 15 matches between 8 teams in the Champions Trophy. The tournament will run from 19 February to 9 March. India will play all its three group stage matches in the UAE and if India qualifies, the semi-finals and final will also be played here. While the other 10 matches of the tournament are likely to be held in Pakistan. It was decided in the ICC meeting that India will play the Champions Trophy matches at neutral venues. Also, for all the tournaments to be held in India, the Pakistani team will also play matches at neutral venues.
Last year, the Pakistani team came to India to play the ODI World Cup. Then the match was played on 14 October in Ahmedabad. The Indian team won this match by 7 wickets. The Indian team last went to Pakistan in 2008.
India last won the ICC Champions Trophy tournament title in 2013 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Now there is a chance to repeat this history once again under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. If the team is successful in winning this title, then India will win this title for the second time. This will be the occasion when Team India has won the ICC Champions Trophy.
