Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has demanded a ban on Kangana Ranaut's Emergency film in Punjab. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami has written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann regarding this. He said that the film presents Sikh history in a wrong way and it can spread anger among the people.
The film can spread anger among Sikhs
Harjinder Dhami wrote in the letter that if the film is released, it can spread anger and resentment in the Sikh community. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the film is banned in the state. Regarding this, these letters have also been sent to the DCs of all the districts in Punjab.
SGPC will strongly oppose the release of the film
SGPC has warned in the letter that if the film is released, it will strongly oppose it. Any tampering with Sikh history will not be tolerated at all. Due to which this film will not be allowed to be released in Punjab.
