Terror established in Bangladesh

On Thursday, the houses of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League party workers were brutally attacked in at least 24 districts of Bangladesh. Their houses were set on fire. Apart from this, many statues of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who fought for the independence of Bangladesh, have been demolished.
It seems that the reign of terror has been established in Bangladesh. Earlier on Wednesday, Sheikh Mujibur's residence at Dhanmondi-32 was set on fire and demolished. On Thursday, the mob also set fire to the house of Awami League General Secretary and former Road, Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader in Kampaniganj, Noakhali.
After attacking Kader's house in Bora Rajapur Mohalla at around 1 pm on Thursday, his brother Abdul Kader Mirza's house was also demolished and then set on fire. The two-storey building of former Basurhat Municipality Mayor Shahadat Mirza was also destroyed by the attackers. The most surprising thing is that it seems that a campaign is being run against opposition leaders in Bangladesh and the country's government is supporting it.
Bangladesh reign of terror?
According to Bangladeshi media, protesters in Rajshahi razed to the ground the three-storey house of former State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam in Chakasinga Mohalla of Bagha Upazila. According to eyewitnesses, more than 100 people from Bagha and Charghat Upazila had reached there on motorcycles. The arson incident took place at around 12 noon and firefighters extinguished the fire at around 2 pm. Apart from this, the house of Awami League leader Abu Sayeed in Shalgaria village of Pabna was also attacked and set on fire.
Bangladeshi media has said that the attackers also attacked the house of the country's former President Abdul Hamid at around 10 pm. People looted valuables from inside the house. They vandalized the houses and set fire to the vehicles parked outside the house. At the same time, two statues of Sheikh Mujibur were broken in Cumilla. While addressing the people present on the spot, Rashidul Haque, secretary of Cumilla city unit of Students Against Discrimination, declared, "We will destroy all the symbols of fascism."
Will Bangladesh erase all traces of Sheikh Mujibur?
A campaign is being run in the country to erase all traces of Sheikh Mujibur, who gave independence to Bangladesh. A statue of Sheikh Mujibur was demolished with a bulldozer in Cumilla City Park. At the same time, the statue of Sheikh Mujibur was also demolished in the court premises in Narayanganj. According to eyewitnesses, a mechanic was called to break the statue here and the statue was broken with a hammer. Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia said that he was not aware of this incident.
According to The Daily Star report, the house of Awami League leader and former MP Shamim Osman's grandfather was demolished in Chashara on Thursday evening. Apart from this, about 10 students of the Awami League Student Union were also attacked, who were being taken to the court by the police. At the same time, the Awami League office was demolished in Tangail. Apart from this, the houses of former Tangail-7 MP Khan Ahmed Shuvo and former mayor Jamilur Rahman Miron were set on fire around 5:00 pm in Thanapara area.
According to eyewitnesses, all the valuables in their house were looted before setting them on fire. Apart from this, a campaign was launched against Awami League supporters in different parts of Bangladesh. It seems that Mohammad Yunus has cursed not taking any action against the miscreants. Whereas such incidents can burn the country in the fire of civil war.
