Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is giving priority to providing transparent, hassle-free, corruption-free and convenient services to the people of the state. The government is striving to fulfill the basic needs of the people of food, clothing and shelter. This was said by Punjab's Revenue, Building Construction, Urban Development and Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian while presenting the roadmap of his departments during a real estate conference organized on a channel in Chandigarh late last evening.
Urban State will be built in every city of the state
Minister Mundiyan said that continuous efforts are being made to give priority to planned urban development in the state and to solve the problems of the people and city dwellers associated with it. Urban estates will be built in every city on the lines of big cities, which will be equipped with better infrastructure under ultra-modern maps. Every city is being surveyed and the department will soon develop them. The development authorities of the Urban Development and Housing Construction Department have earned Rs 5000 crore in two times through transparent e-auction of properties.
Minister Mundian said that the main priority of the government is to provide accountable and transparent services. In a special camp for settlement of pending cases, various development authorities provided licenses of colonies, completion certificates, letter of intent, zoning plan, building plan, promoter registration, certificate and layout plan etc. to 51 promoters/builders. Now the second camp will be organized on December 3 in which certificates will be given to more than 100 promoters.
Registry without NOC will start from December 1
He further said that the government led by CM Mann does not make promises but guarantees which are being fulfilled in every situation. The registration work of plots without NOC was pending for a long time, regarding which the government passed a law and issued a notification. Plots up to 500 yards will be registered without NOC. This process will continue for three months from December 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025.
Corruption will not be tolerated
In a reply, Mundian said that corruption will not be tolerated. If anyone is found guilty or a complaint is received, strict action will be taken against him. He shared his mobile number (84276-90000) for the public, on which complaints related to the department can be lodged. He said that the basic aim of our government is to provide honest and efficient administrative services.
Hardeep Mundiya also has the Water Supply and Sanitation Department. On this, he said that providing clean water to every villager is his priority. 15 projects related to canal water supply have been approved in the state at a cost of Rs 2174 crore. On this occasion, he also honored personalities associated with the real estate sector.
