The purpose of fasting in Ramadan is to control oneself. If you just abstain from food and drink but do not give up bad habits, then there is no point in fasting.
Myth: Ramadan fasting is mandatory for everyone
Truth: Although fasting in Ramadan is mandatory for all Muslims, there are some people who are exempted from fasting. Like pregnant and lactating women, old and sick people, diabetic and heart patients, menstruating women, people who are travelling for essential reasons.
Myth: Ramadan fasting is harmful for health
Truth: There is no scientific evidence that fasting is not good for healthy people. Only people with any chronic disease should avoid fasting.
Myth: The date of Ramzan is same and does not change.
