Along with this, the government has completely banned keeping and burning strings of crackers. The Punjab government has taken this decision keeping in mind the health of the people and air pollution.
On Diwali, you will be able to burst crackers only from 8 to 10 pm
According to the order issued by the government, people can burst crackers only from 8 to 10 pm on the night of Diwali. On the occasion of Guruparv, it is allowed only from 4 to 5 am and 9 to 10 pm. On Christmas and New Year's Eve, crackers are allowed from 11.55 pm to 12.30 pm.
Ban on selling crackers online
Along with this, the government has banned the sale of crackers online. Other e-commerce companies including Flipkart and Amazon cannot sell crackers online. If the rules are violated, strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Permission to sell only green crackers
The order issued by the government has made it clear that only those with licenses will be able to sell crackers. Crackers will be sold only at limited places. At the same time, storage, display or sale of crackers with sound more than the prescribed decibel level will be banned. Supreme Court and NGT rules have already been decided in this regard. People have been appealed to cooperate in this regard.
DCs of all districts will monitor
If anyone does this, strict action will be taken against him. All DCs have been instructed to run campaigns to make people aware about the harmful effects of crackers. Apart from this, crackers will be sold only at fixed places.
