Punjab's most expensive toll plaza located on Delhi-Jammu National Highway is going to be free once again. People are going to get free facility at the toll plaza from Friday (September 27) i.e. tomorrow.
It is being told that this decision has been taken in the meeting of the officials of Toll Plaza Workers Union Punjab. They have announced that the toll plaza will be closed indefinitely from tomorrow.
Workers Union President Darshan Singh Ladi, while chairing the meeting, said that the demands of the workers are not being met for a long time. Due to which this decision has been taken.
Decision taken when demands were not met
Darshan Singh said that for several months meetings were being held with the company officials regarding their demands, but till date their demands have not been met. No attention is being paid to this by the company.
Other facilities including government leave are not being given
Darshan Singh Ladi said that no government leave is being given to the employees working at the toll plaza nor is any deduction being made in their PF. He said that the said company is not providing any ESI and welfare schemes to the toll employees. This is a direct violation of the rights of the employees.
